Lapwing Cycle Route
This circular route will take you through a wildlife rich area in the heart of agricultural West Lancashire.
Starting at Burscough Wharf route goes through the north of Burscough and then passes through or near several nature reserves.
You will cycle through the home of lapwings, dragonflies and butterflies at the WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre before reaching Tarlscough Moss and Burscough Wharf. You will also go by Windmill Animal Farm and Mere Sands Wood Nature Reserve.

Guild Wheel, Preston
The Guild Wheel is a 21 mile circular route that can be ridden or walked in any direction for as far as you want. You can join the route at any point on the way.
The route is mainly off-road and traffic free, providing a scenic and safe cycling route for all the family to use. You can plan your route around the entire Guild Wheel or create shorter cycling routes to suit your location and ability.
The official start and finish of the Guild Wheel is the Pavilion Caf in Avenham Park.
Dont expect to cycle at high speeds and be prepared to slow down or stop if necessary.

The Barnacre Round
The Barnacre Round is a seven mile route which should take about an hour to complete.
It takes place mainly on quiet country roads and is a circular route to the east of Garstang on the Barnacre fells.
There are some gentle undulations, with a quick descent past Barnacre Church.
Along this route, you can take in various views of the area.
Suitable for families wishing to develop their experience.
