The man charged with the murder of missing Padiham woman Katie Kenyon has made his first appearance in court.
Andrew Burfield (50) of Todmorden Road, Burnley, appeared at Blackburn Magistrates’ Court earlier today.
He was remanded to appear at Preston Crown Court on Friday.
Police investigating the disappearance of Katie (33) have said they are now working on the basis that she is no longer alive.
Katie has been missing from home since Friday, April 22nd. Searches are continuing around the Gisburn Forest area to find her.
