Carrie, who is the bursar at St Stephen's Primary School in Burnley suggested a sponsored run and together they came up with the idea to run 75k in May in honour of the 75th anniversary of VE Day.
Matilda, who goes to Christ the King RC Primary School, was joined by her mum, who is a keen runner and also her dad Bart and the family dogs Honey and Pickle to spur her along each day.
