Video: Floods danger on Padiham bypass
Rush-hour traffic was brought to a standstill on the Padiham bypass at teatime today when the road was flooded.
A torrent of water coming down from the Haddings Head area near Higham, after a day of torrential rain, left the bypass underwater.
At least one car was stuck in the flood, causing a major obstruction, while others struggled to get round it and through the water which was about a foot deep.
Traffic was travelling at a snail’s pace along the bypass which is in a perilous state.
